Dr. Sibera Troy Brannon, D.D.S.

  • Graduated from Shrine High School of the Little Flower in Royal Oak in 1985
  • Graduated from the University of Detroit with a Bachelors in Science and Business Certificate minor in 1989
  • Graduated from the University of Detroit Dental School with a DDS in 1993
  • Graduated from The University of Michigan Dental School Post-Graduate program Advanced Education In General Dentistry (AEGD) in 1994
  • Worked two years as a Associate in Detroit with Dr. William Woodruff from 1994-1996
  • Worked part-time at the University of Detroit Dental School as associate clinical professor from 1995-1997
  • Established private practice Dental Care Institute in 1996
  • Established outreach practice Dental Care Mission in1997 for senior and children homes
  • Established Smile Design Institute in 2004 for Aesthetic dentistry

  • I have owned and used CEREC® technology since 2001. I have done small lectures on the technology and am in the process of becoming a certified trainer.
  • I have been using Lightspeed endodontic equipment since 2001. I also lecture and train other dentists nationally on the technology.
  • I enjoy new technology in dentistry. It allows for more efficient procedures and comfort for the patients.
  • I believe in giving the patient the best education, treatment options and treatment. An informed patient will understand and value the procedures that will be performed. This will allow us both to reach the common goal of good dental health and satisfaction with the procedures.

Anthony L. Neely, D.D.S., M.Dent.Sc., Ph.D.

Anthony L. Neely, D.D.S., M.Dent.Sc., Ph.D., is a specialist in the field of periodontics and is a Diplomate (certified specialist) of the American Board of Periodontology. He is currently a full-time associate professor in the Department of Periodontology and Dental Hygiene at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry where he teaches and conducts research on the relationship between periodontal disease and tooth loss with systemic diseases. His research also includes developing statistical models to help understand how periodontal (gum) disease and tooth loss progresses of over time as well as studying the role of oral infections in people with diabetes mellitus.

Dr. Neely received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Arkansas State University in 1979 and D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1983. He earned a Masters of Dental Science and certificate in Periodontics from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1987. Dr. Neely earned a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the Yale University School of Epidemiology and Public Health in 1998.

Dr. Neely has maintained a part-time practice limited to Periodontics for nearly 18 years and is interested in all phases of periodontal (gum) disease management, including the use of cutting edge techniques for regeneration of lost tooth support, improving esthetics and tooth replacement with dental implants. He has published scientific articles, book chapters and lectured locally, nationally and internationally on various topics in Periodontics.

He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, American Board of Periodontology, American Association for Dental Research, International Association for Dental Research and the Wolverine Dental Society.


Ana Camacho

I am a dental hygienist and a graduate of WCCCD. I have been working in the dental field since 1993. I have been working with Smile Design Institute since December 2004. I really enjoy working with them. I like to help people and I try to give my very best every day.


Shannon E. Davis

My name is Shannon E. Davis and I am a Graduate of University of Detroit-Mercy Dental Hygiene Class of 1992. My position as a Periodontal Hygienist began at Dental Care Institute in February 2002. As a Periodontal Hygienist I provide dental cleanings for adults and children, fluoride application, sealants, x-rays, periodontal scaling and root planning, and Brite Smile whitening. My day consist of teaching my patients the current techniques to keep their mouths healthy. In April of 2004 I became Board Certified to administer anesthesia to my periodontal patients. The past 3 years here at DCI are always changing and definitely educational. The training from Hollander Management, a Consulting Business, has improved the office communications and helped me improve my organizational skills.


Sharon Brooks

Sharon Brooks is a Dental Assistant from Detroit Michigan trained by Dr. Laura Suzuki in the State of Hawaii and later certified in the State of Missouri at Allied Medical College and has been a dental assistant for over fourteen years.

Sharon came on board at DCI in May of 2005. Sharon provides to be very knowledgeable in the art of dentistry and a take-charge kind of person. You can expect integrity, compassion, and always get a sense of importance from her, because you are the most important person in our office. Let’s not forget her friendly smile and loving touch. Its one thing to know the fundamentals, it’s a major plus when you have your heart in what you do as a professional.

Sharon is dedicated and is a hard worker who will go the extra mile to make sure your dental experience is comforting and confident always. Her plans are to continue her education in dentistry with the hopes of one day becoming a Dentist herself.

Sharon is an enthusiastic, fun loving and outgoing person. Some of the things she enjoys doing when she’s not working is traveling, snorkeling, reading and fine dining.


LaTrice Hill

Ms. LaTrice Hill is an Certified Dental Assistant. She received the credentials from the National Board of Dental Assistants (DANB) in 2002. She holds the title of Technical Administrational Assistant. This job includes General Chairside assisting with dentures, partials, Cerec (in-Office crown system) and the processing of Invisalign (invisible teeth straightening technology). She is generally the concerned and smiling voice you hear checking on you and answering your post-operative dental concerns/questions. LaTrice is dedicated to a high level of quality in her patient interaction and services.


Tonya McDuffie

Tonya McDuffie has 19 years of dental experience and she is employed part time by Dental Care Institute and Smile Design Institute. She has utilized her experience, skills and education in the areas of oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics and general dentistry. Tonya understands and enjoys her patients when it comes to educating and providing information concerning the dental needs of her patients with concern and compassion. She has found her work very rewarding.


Donna M. Hill

Donna M. Hill has been with Dental Care Institute since it opened its door on May 6, 1996. She is a native Detroiter who has many talents. Although she did not come with a dental background it would be very hard to distinguish that when watching her in action. She handles the day-to-day operations of the practice. Since joining Dental Care Institute and the dental field, Donna has been afforded the opportunity to receive training from Hollander Consultants, a management consultant located in Portland, Oregon. Her training has been ongoing since 2001. As our practice has grown, there have been key elements that our state-of-the-art equipment and techniques have taught us, that the patients needs are paramount. As the patient’s awareness grows, so does the demand for better and greater things. Dentistry has come along way, as Donna often tells our patients. She tries to enrich patient relationships with our executive office systems while educating and encouraging our staff to give exceptional patient communication. Communication is a key element in everything we do.


Star White

Star White is the Financial Coordinator here at Dental Care Institute. She has been apart of the DCI team for 3 ½ years, and its her pleasure to fully help you understand the importance of dental care and ease the hardship of financing. She will go to great lengths to verify insurance and help you to understand your benefits. With all the new options like Care Credit, Ameriplan, Dental Fee Plan and even Dental Care Institute’s in-house arrangements (to patients with relationships) she is sure that we can successfully get the job done.


Amber Vaughn

Amber Vaughn is the Receptionist at Dental Care Institute. She was born and raised in the city of Detroit. At the early stage of her teenage years she migrated to “fabulous Ferndale” and has been there ever since. Amber has been with the Dental Care family since May of 2004. With the year, she has been afforded the opportunity to receive training with Hollander Consulting Company. With this training, she has enhanced her ability to be the best that she can be. The patients at Dental Care Institute are Amber’s top priority and concern. Her warm and compassionate personality along with her energetic spirit is the formula for consistent top quality customer service. Although Amber did not come from a dental background, she has still managed to perform her daily functions with grace and ease. Amber enjoys learning and that is probably the reason why she has taken on a profession that advances so rapidly. While being with Dental Care Institute, Amber has learned about products and services such as Invisalign, Melalueca, BriteSmile, Sonicate and the list goes on.
